COVID-19 SUMMER 2022 Information

COVID-19 Update: The Leadville Train will be open for the 2022-23 season on Saturday, May 28, 2022. We are constantly monitoring local health rules and adjusting capacity accordingly. Please know we do not have any control over any of these entities.

As this global pandemic continues to impact the world we wish you to know that we are not in control at all. If you fear getting COVID please refrain from riding our train at this time. We are a common carrier and as such cannot and will not discriminate against passengers. We will not ask people to provide vaccination cards and have no ability to ensure our passengers safety beyond the required COVID protocols in place. We understand your fears and believe that in many cases the best thing to do is not join our trip until you feel comfortable being in public with a myriad of people of all types of backgrounds.

Our cancelation policy will remain as follows through October 2022:

Our Cancellation Policy

We understand your travel plans may change. With that in mind, the Leadville  Railroad has a very simple cancellation policy: regardless of whether you made your reservation online, using our mobile applications, or via our 800 number, just give us 24 hours notice prior to your departure time and we will give you a refund less 15% of the total purchase price. Refunds normally show up on your account within 3-5 business days.
Unfortunately, the Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad cannot refund payments for special tours and trips including but not limited to: Wildflower Specials, Fall Photo Specials, BBQ Specials and Non-Profit Trips. For all cancellations cancelled with less than 24 hours notice prior to scheduled departure time or in the event of a no-show, no refunds will be offered.

For trips from November 1, 2022 - April 30, 2023 no refunds will be given.

We do recommend having reservations for any trip that you want to take to ensure availability.

We will continue to keep our website updated as more information arises, and we will continue to follow CDC, WHO, and state regulations. We thank you for all the support you continue to give and we can't wait to see you this season!
